Duck Game
About that almost-pure FM Synth soundtrack...
I'm not quite sure what came over the sound department for this game, but I must express my heartfelt ♥♥♥♥ing thanks for not only creating an enjoyable soundtrack, but also for creating a retro game with a soundtrack that makes use of the oft-overlooked YM2612 sound chip, and (presumably) many sound effects that make use of the same chip.

I consider the use of YM2612 to be such a lost art these days, with so many retro games opting for the NES sound chips, for better (Virt <3) or worse. Needless to say, seeing one such game aiming squarely for pure non-StH Genesis nostalgia is the greatest ♥♥♥♥ing feeling.

Thank you, developers, and please, spread the YM2612 love.

PS: Are there plans for the official soundtrack to be published as native .vgm/.vgz/.gym files? Or even MP3s? I'd love to purchase it.

I agree. best soundtrack in a long time
how is this game?
You can access all the music files if you have VLC. Open Windows Explorer, and navigate to your Steam directory (by default C: --> Program Files (x86) --> Steam, and then going to SteamApps --> Common --> Duck Game --> Content --> Audio --> Music.

Now you should be listen to all the Duck Game audio files! (They are .ogg BTW)

Oh, that part I've already done yesterday, the .ogg files are in my phone for listening. It'd be even better if the developers released the .vgm/.vgz/.gym version of the soundtrack, however.

Damn, thanks man! Really awesome to hear from people who appreciate FM soundtracks :) I'd like to do a bandcamp at some point, I'd probably release VGZ versions of any appropriate tracks there. Only a few tracks are authentic 6 channel though, many of them such as the rock throw track use fancy panning and layering that the YM2612 wasn't capable of.

Is it still possible to render the rest of them into pure VGZs with close facsimiles of the non-YM2612 enhancements? At least from where I was listening, they sounded very very authentic otherwise.

If the facsimiles aren't quite possible, then I'd be satisfied just with direct VGZ versions that don't use the enhancements. Shovel Knight, in particular, didn't have all the audio enhancements in the .nsf version of its soundtrack, and it still sounds pretty good.
