Combined local and online multiplayer?

Hi,

I have a quick question, does this game support local+online multiplayer? For example, can I join a lobby with my friend from the same PC and play against 2 random (or not) online players?

That would be a really big selling point for me.

Yes. You arent really supposed to revive dead threads but yes you can. Play with a friend locally and still have acess to online. Careful though, there are some really competitive online players too!

It should be noted, that only the host can have local players join.

That does usually not matter, it just means that you will have to create the game if you want to play with multiple ppl on your pc online.

I can’t start the game with a local player. We’re both ready but it just waits. The other two slots show Open Slots. So is this feature still working?

Yeah it's still working, I've had a few mixed local/online games recently. As Entropie said, you have to be the host so you just have to wait for other online players to join you.

I noticed but is there a way to start the game with just local players while it’s still searching for players? Couldn’t find any button even when both local players are ready?

you shouldnt turn it into an online lobby when playing with local people only, vine/chain maps get disabled.

No no. I just wanna play while it's searching for players. I wanna play online with two local players. So how do I start a game while we wait. I can do this in most other games.

people cant join when you are no longer in the hat select lobby
