Climbing walls with chainsaw advice?

I'm stuck on Grindy 500. I know that you're gonna say "look at the tutorials" but those don't help me actually figure out the mechanic of climbing. It just shows me how to beat the challenge. Can someone give me some pointers on how this wall climbing works?

Jump before you hit the wall, and bounce up should be high enough to clear it.

I'm trying to jump before I hit but I end up just running into the wall and not getting any height. Sometimes I go flying up on accident but I still just can't figure it out

If you stabd against the wall your duck will aim the chainsaw upwards, like it would do with any gun. So you need to jump before hitting the wall. Also you need to be holding down the attack button. Make sure you hit the wall during the up going motion of your jump. If you hit the wall at the top of your jump or while going down, you will just bounce back down.
