Unlocks through Challenges are too hard to aquire
I always feel I'm about to break my quacking controller when playing the challenges. :steamsalty::steamsalty::steamsalty: I'm missing 1 single ticket to unlock more stuff but I'm unable to get it. I have completed every normal challenge which is available to me on at least silver and the bonus challenges on bronze but I can't get further in this gamemode.

Please reduce the cost of unlocks and make more challenges easier to unlock. The game makes me so mad when I miss just the movement of a stick on my controller by a few milliseconds and I end up losing and not getting any unlocks because of this.

I don't think they're too hard to unlock (they used to be quite a bit harder, iirc). If you need help getting better medals, I have a series of videos which demonstrate how to get the top medal in every challenge. Keep in mind that Gold is only the third-best medal!

Well, thanks for those videos but the huge amount I end up struggling at one point can just drive me mad. I think I'm not the only one who is struggling with the challenges.
It just feels super ridiculous that it's so hard to unlock hats and gameplay modifiers. I think that might be because I'm playing with a controller while a keyboard allows for maximum precision in Duck Game.

Do the medals which are better than Gold give you tickets or unlock further challenges?

Controllers and keyboards both have tradeoffs. If you've ever tried to play the chainsaw racing ones with a keyboard, you know what kind of hell that entails. I don't think one or the other is any more 'precise' because I've been absolutely massacred by controller users (I believe the dev is one), it's all down to how much practice you have with movement and shooting.

Platinum gives you further tickets. To 100% the game, you need to get all platinum medals.
UR THE BEST is a secret rating above platinum that doesn't give you any special reward other than bragging rights. If you're going for all platinum medals, UR THE BEST can act as a substitute for platinum (since hey, it's even better.)

Controller is superior, imo. I hate playing on a keyboard. That said, there are a couple of things that are easier on keyboard (such as gun-jumping and sword stabs).

On public beta branch, there's a special reward for all dev medals. I won't say here because spoilers, but the last video of the playlist I posted earlier shows you what it is.

I didn't want to start a controller vs keyboard discussion here. So I'm going to clarify what I actually wanted to say. (sorry!)

What I meant with saying that a keyboard allows for maximum precision was pretty much theoretically speaking (since Duck Game doesn't make use of analogue input, unlike steering in racing games and such) and my own experience I had with doing the obstacle course challenge with a keyboard instead of a controller. In the end, each person will be better with one of the two things, that's true. The dev of this game plays it on a controller, too. I just happen to unfortunately prefer the controller while probably being better with the keyboard.

Now back to the topic:

While pretty much everyone can win in the multiplayer mode the singleplayer is kind of the opposite. I have a very hard time reaching Gold in many challenges while I'm pretty competent in the online multiplayer mode. Not unlocking things and reading that Gold isn't actually one of the hardest things to aquire makes this frustrating. That's why I feel that the difficulty of unlocks should be lowered. Not everything has to be easy and I'm fine with stuff like hats that may be really hard to get but just a little more rewards for the worse players would be very nice, I think.

I dunno. The things you do unlock in the singleplayer are pretty much just little novelties and bragging rights. Gameplay modifiers don't really do much, and hats are obviously purely cosmetic. It's not like anything important is being withheld from you...

I think I'm 'about competent' in online mode but singleplayer mode isn't a problem. I'm not getting all Platinum or UR THE BEST but it's not impossible either. They're very frustrating sometimes, because of how perfect you need to be, and how much you need to learn each level. Are you just unfamiliar with speedrunning in general?

I'm not really interested into speedrunning and thus not very familiar with it.
