Duck Composer - Music-making tool to play instruments
Instruments in Duck Game are really cool, but they're not very intuitive for actual music other than the classic bwo bwo BWEH BWEH, but that's to be expected. After all, what can one expect out of using a controller's left trigger? Not the next Mozart, that's for sure.

So that's why RedMser created Duck Musico, a small tool that runs in the background that lets you press keys on your keyboard and have the pitch of instruments change depending on what key you pressed. But timing and not-pressing-the-wrong-button is still a problem for many people, so that's why I made Duck Composer[9joao6.itch.io]! You can create your own music and listen to it ingame when holding an instrument.

From Nuclear Throne, to Duck Game. Good job.

Oh wow, good job guys

So with Duck Composer, I can make my own tune and have the program running the background, and in-game all I have to do is hold the button down and it'll play the song? xD

On the video for the duck composer test, you can see the audio bar thing at the bottom.. I'm guessing you can make that go away though?

This is awesome, was not expecting this and can't wait to start making some tunes up for duck composer!

Thanks for this, it's gonna be hilarious ^.^

Nah no need to hold any key down, just hit Play and switch to Duck Game (or enable auto-switch inside the tool) and pick up an instrument. What you see in the video is just a layout added in post, you can safely minimize the tool after hitting Play :]

Very Interesting.

I set it up, and it worked pretty well..for a while. The program is so tricky to use that I have no idea how you managed to do something like recreate the Cave Story theme song.

I would try to improve the code a little, but...my skills are pretty lacking in that department.

I don't blame you, in fact I wholeheartedly agree. If a friend of mine releases part of his mod that lets users pitch instruments with the mouse, I'll rework the program from the ground up to not be crap :P
This is AWESOME. Why does this remind me of Mario Paint though? Was it because that had a music studio built-in? Or was it because of the fan-made Mario Composer which is basically the Mario Paint music studio but just better? Anyhow, this is AMAZING STUFF.

Uh, I have another question. Where is the save file stored? In the program itself?

Is there any chance you could just send the whole thing to me? (I assure you I'm not gonna take credit where it's due)

Probably in the AppData folder if you use Windows. If you use a Mac, then idk

Ah. Is there any chance you could send me the Cave Story file? *Winks conspiratorially*

Not me, I don't own it (I don't have it in my desktop)

Dammit. Oh well, guess I'm back to trying to recreate the Smash 4 theme. Thanks anyway.
