Why is everyone in Duck Game rude?
This game doesn't have a very good community.

Yea.... I useally host games to avoid this. Can you add me if you want to play? (I have 7 custom maps that I made btw. Only one of them is uploaded)

One way to avoid this is to host your own games.

Like seriously, any person who has ever played Duck Game has cyberbullied someone else.
From my perspective, you're just really unlucky. 350+ hours in this game and I only occasionally meet people like you describe.

I know what you mean about the hosts. If you show any degree of skill, then there's a 20% chance the host will kick you. I've been kicked for using a controller before the match began, and I don't even use one. It's not like it happens every single time, but it's there and it's annoying. Don't even get me started on the people who just AFK in the lobby and don't start the game.

What happened to Duck Game?
I've seen a lot of people ask this as if the community to a game that's barely a year old has somehow changed from when it began. Answer is: it has not. The community is much the same as it's always been, and, in my experience (keep in mind I've played the game regularly since it came out on PC) there hasn't been any increase in trolls, hackers, ragers, angry children, tryhards, salt miners, or whatever else you'd care to point out.

This is one of the worst communities you've joined? Well I guess that assumes that someone just automatically joins the "community" when you buy the game, but whatever. Okay I guess if you enjoy inherently toxic gameplay like Dota, or mic spamming in CS;GO, or are a brony and/or furry and enjoy TF2, then I can see why you'd think that. Or maybe you don't have any idea how bad a """community""" (because frankly there isn't much of a Duck Game "community" not an organized one at least) can really get, and in starting this """discussion""" you didn't really have anything to discuss, and just wanted to shout your frustrations at the very community you claim to be disenfranchised from.

I guess if I had a point to writing all this it'd be: It's cringe worthy as duck seeing someone who has barely played the game whinging about how bad the player base is like he's lost some major investment. Shut the duck up and play the game, grow a pair and stop whining about children acting like children, you child.

...I never knew...I never knew how nasty some people can be...now I have NEVER met people like that...except one dasterdly person...the reason I got kicked was probably my hat. That's a problem. Who doesn't like Scout from TF2 (despite that I'm a Heavy main)? Kicked for being good, kicked for being bad, kicked for "unfair kills", (speed of voice gets faster and angrier) kicked for high-pitched quacks, kicked for using a controller, kicked for a "bad hat", KICKED FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, FOREVER KICKED OUT OF ONLINE DUCK GAME BECAUSE OF THAT ONE STUPID HOST WHO NEVER TURNS OFF HIS GAME, KICKED FOR...jeez. This is like, all of the unfair kicks I've heard of from other discussion's comments. Welp, consider myself very lucky.

Since the OP just generally blamed everyone who plays the game he is probably either fishing for a reaction/attention or a jerk in the game himself (which would explain his experience of getting kicked a lot).
AND LET THE RECORD SHOW THAT YOU WERE NOT KICKED BECAUSE I AM SOME AWFUL PERSON, BUT BECAUSE OF THE INANE POST YOU MADE HERE TODAY.

I've found the time of day makes a big difference. Play more when middle and high schoolers are in bed. The chill players seem to be most abundant after 10pm for me. I really like the Duck Game community overall.

This. If you play at night all the drunks and druggies (me) will be on and we are all chill af. Havent encountered much hostility except when it came to kicking for skill. That ♥♥♥♥ is just lame.

If everyone hosted a game, there would be no one joining because everyone is hosting o.o

Just do you, and embrace the hate and make it a bed you can sleep on with pillows filled with tears from the haters. Then eat a Peanut Butter and Jelly sammich from all the Jelly others provided you. :steamhappy:

ikr everygame i join on duckgame just has hackers or is full of them
Entropie Dec 10, 2016 @ 9:02pm
Actually having someone use hacks is extremely rare in duck game, I have more than 1200h in the game and only met someone like that two times.

Some people, though, confuse skillfull play with use of hacks.
On one hand since there are a lot of hidden tactics in the game that make for impressive looking kills and on the other hand to vent anger and diminish the other players superiority.

Steam and the Game itself is kinda attracting to young folks.. There is nothing much you could change about.

I know what you are talking about..

Chat like:

♥♥♥♥♥ u
laag
lucker
i leave
swag
'some other cool words and memes, because its easier'
kick
bad hat (aka: iam jealous)

But yea... as i said.. you cant except a kindly chat with a majority that seems 12-16 years old. No community handles that.. Its the reason for many games to dissapear.. But you wont change that, even if i would like to see that happen.

Its just too cool and easy to throw in bad words, memes or whatevz. Especialy if you already sitting 8+ Hours a day on the pc, as a 10-16y old child. Guess they grew up with that garbage. (Memes, and stuff like that)#

Who needs Education... meh i just google the defintion of education and iam educated.. kinda that.
