How to make custom capes/hats! - TUTORIAL

Hello fellow Duck Game players.. you're most likely here because you want to know how to make a custom cape/hat. Hopefully if all goes well by the end of this you will be able to make a cape and hat :D.

LETS BEGIN.

To start off... you will need

• Hands
  
• A Computer :P
  
• Photo Editing Software - I used Paint.net you could use others such as Gimp. (NOT MS PAINT)
  
• Duck game Hat template - can be downloaded at : http://penguinscode.github.io/Quackhead/instructions.html

CUSTOMS HATS

Step 1.

Open up your editing software and open the duck game hat template. (CANVAS SIZE SHOULD BE 64 WIDTH BY 32 HEIGHT)

Once you open it, you will see two ducks. The duck on the right is how the duck looks after quacking.

Step 2.

On both ducks head, draw your design.

Step 3.

Once you are done, save it as a .png in an easy to find area.

Step 4.

Upload your .png image to http://penguinscode.github.io/Quackhead/quackhead.html
by pressing "ADD TEAM"

Step 5.

Once you finish uploading save it once again, this will be a .hat image

Step 6. FINAL STEP

Add the .hat file to your Duck Game files which can look something like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Duck Game\

Start Duck Game and you're done! :D

CUSTOM CAPES

Step 1.

Open Duck Game Hat template in editing software, once you opened it change the Width size to 96 instead of 64. This is mostly found in Image>Canvas Size ( THE WIDTH SHOULD BE 96 AND HEIGHT 32)

Step 2.

In the white area to the right of the two ducks, draw your cape design! (THE WHITE AREA IS 32 x 32 pixels Don't go pass that area)

Step 3.

Save as .png and put it somewhere where it is easibly findable

Step 4.

Upload the .png image to http://penguinscode.github.io/Quackhead/quackhead.html by pressing " ADD TEAM"

(****IMPORTANT****)
When you upload the .png image to Quackhead the cape is not going to show up on the Ducks but DONT WORRY! It will still appear in Duck Game.

Step 5.

Save the image and it should now be a .hat file.

Step 6. FINAL STEP

Put the .hat file into your Duck Game files which can look like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Duck Game\

Start Duck Game and you're done!

if i click the paint.net it leads me to a real paint ckmpany products site, and if i type it it brings me to teh same page, skmething called warren paints

Just go to google.com and put in paint net its the first one that pops up! :D

The program you need to be using has to support PNG. SO when you save it make sure you are using PNG type format, then when you are saving it save it to PNG format or else its going to show the duck skin. Microsoft paint does not work because it does not support PNG.

Don't put it into the hat folder. Just throw it into the duck game directory. (Steamapps>Common>Duck Game)
