Rainworld not working on my computer :C (FIXED NOW YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!)
For some reason rainworld has broken; I can run steam just fine, but when I press play it it says cancle, says stop, and then it goes back to play and cancels the startup process. I haven't been able to play for months, I tried clearing the enabled mods folder exept for more stable remix menu and loadtime fix, I've tried validating the files, I've tried undownloading and redownlaodng it, nothing is working. (I use a linuxmint laptop)

IT FIXED NOW YAY
(I commented the solution so I'll just copy paste it here)

"I got a friend to look at it and basically, my wine version of the game that I needed for proton to run it got damaged somehow and we had to reinstall it. I hope that this can help anyone else in this situation! :>

I have a few workshop mods, but it had been working for a while with them installed, it just randomly stopped working. I also uninstalled a lot of them in case I had too many. Thanks so much for helping!

I hope I can fix it soon, I really wanna try rain meadow. I feel a lot of FOMO.

Have you tried doing a full reinstall by removing Rain World from the Steam folder then verifying the game?

The Rain World folder is typically located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rain World. Just delete, rename, or move that folder then use Steam to verify the files through Steam.

I've moved my work in progress mod out of the way and I'll delete the folder now! thanks!
