Unable to go to death screen?

Minor issue that might have something to do with my mods or controls (Even though I've tested removing, adding, or adjusting them)

When I die in any campaign, including modded ones, the game continues playing out in the background like it always does with the little "Press space to restart" and all. But when I try hitting space or escape nothing happens. No keys work and I have to close and restart the game entirely to continue. I can never access the death screen but my sleep screen still works. I obviously lose karma cause it counts as exiting the game late into the cycle when closing after death.

It might be one of the mods causing this issue. You may need to unsubscribe to a few at a time to figure out which mods might be causing the issue.

I've tried to remove any mods that might cause problems with things like sleeping or death screens or even complete vanilla and I've still had the issue.

Have you tried doing a full reinstall by removing Rain World from the Steam folder then verifying the game?

The Rain World folder is typically located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rain World. Just delete, rename, or move that folder then use Steam to verify the files through Steam.
