Screen goes black after speaking with echo in Expedition mode

I haven't checked for story mode, but in Expedition when I visit an echo the screen goes black once they finish their speech instead of fading to the karma screen like its supposed to.

Though the audio still plays, no inputs I make on the black screen seem to do anything and I usually have to force quit the game to get out of it. Although once I do load up the file again it always saved my progress--as in my progress towards the pilgrim passage does go up. Anyone else dealing with this?

I'm having the same issue as well, but I only have the mods included with Rain World Downpour.

Have you tried doing a full reinstall by removing Rain World from the Steam folder then verifying the game?

The Rain World folder is typically located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rain World. Just delete, rename, or move that folder then use Steam to verify the files through Steam.
