youre not softlocked, but that area is poorly designed imo.
Either go all the way left, or all the way right. There are at least 2 definitive ways to leave technically.
Going all the way left got me to the throne with a karma flower. I ate it went back a new room opened with small flowers inside and there is music playing there. That room seems important but i can't really do anything there.
In that room with a sizeable patch of karma flowers, you can use your wormhole ability to exit and create a gate for future use. Also remember that you went up to the top of the throne and the path below opened up....
I had thought the right-most portal that you have to climb/do alot of parkour for sends you elsewhere, maybe I was mistaken.
You are unfortunately going to have to trek to the most opposite location in that entire region. It's going to suck but the right-most room (use your map) will take you out. You have a bit of parkour and platforming ahead of you. That's mighty unfortunate....
Assuming you are starting where there's quite a bit of mud and many interior sections (and sparse rot), that's about very roughly the midpoint of the region imo. To the left are the extensive ashen fields/rot, and to the right is the deadly parkour. I'm generalizing roughly, but that's my understanding of the godforsaken place.
I speak of the rightmost stretch far beyond the ashy/dusty hills, fields, and valleys. You need to do alot of platforming over deathpits, some normal and even boosted pounces, and progress eastward to climb up some poles to reach the exit portal.
All the advice I can give is use your map to find the location I'm talking about. It's on the right side of the map after an arduous journey (I failed a pounce boost several times)
