I personally really like it too, a great spot to hunt vultures and scavengers. But the death pits are annoying, i guess that's why many hate it.

i feel like a lot of vitriol towards chimney canopy comes specifically from attempting to scale it rather than descend it, and in more difficult slugcats' campaigns (feat. king vultures partying it up in almost every room with open sky LMAO)....... but i'm kinda just speculating/guessing really.

that aside i think it's a very cool region, and the gutter connecting it to drainage was a really neat addition!

Personally I see nothing wrong with it and if I am playing as a scug that has mobility I just play around hopping around everywhere.

I don't mind CC, it's no where as bad as Sky Islands IMO. Less jumps of death and more popcorn plants/food. Also, you can actually traverse it with pups, where as in SI I lost an expedition because I couldn't get out of it with my twin slugpups (I found together).
