If you drop it like you do scavs it won't work
"Lizards are an incredibly developped specie"
Probably only the 4th time now in my 1,000+ hours, because it's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ obnoxious.
The problem is the stupid beasts comprehending there's food nearby.
Half the time they will strongly prefer killing me, a dangerous living creature,
instead of the dead carcass I threw in their stupid face.
And even after grabbing the corpse, they hang around for awhile,
letting themselves be exposed to scavs or vultures, instead of going back to their den.
Once they're actually tamed it's not a problem,
making them recognize food and survive long enough to BECOME tamed is the problem.
I know a couple lizard species can be tamed after just 1 feeding, without even having to return to their den, but there are those that require multiple feedings.
I would've and have survived just fine, I've had the game for about half a year before Downpour was released, and I beat Hunter run before Remix QoL options was a thing.
I know I've tamed lizards at least a couple times in 1.5 as well, and while I can't remember the details, I'm sure it was as awful as you say. But even in current 1.9, lizards are still stupid and obnoxious to tame.
But there IS a passage / achievement for what you're asking: 'Dragon Slayer'!
Killing six different types of lizards rewards you this. Whenever you kill a new type and survive to hibernate afterwards, you'll see their color appear on the passage chart.
The two aquatic lizards don't count, nor does the secret joke campaign's 'train lizard', but the rest are fair game. Although the hard-mode cyan & red lizards don't count without having the DLC, supposedly.
