Rivulet
I've finally finished all the other campaigns leaving me stuck with the worst campaign, Rivulet. I'm yet to manage to have much fun in this one, finding shelters in time, especially in new areas like submerged superstructure and the heart it just seems like I'm meant to die over and over with no way to actually control that other then pulling up a map. I don't want to pull up a map to explore a new area, I want to experience it but it just seems to be impossible.

Is this just a pull up the wiki or die campaign?

Did you visit FP before going to submerged?

Nope I found submerged on gourmand and couldn't quite manage even with a ton of bubbleweed it so came back on rivulet, since it's right next to moon I went to say hi to her then dive into her depths. The area itself is super interesting but dear god where the hell are any shelters!?! Rivulets days are so pathetically short it I had to pull out a map just to get out of drainedge where rivulet starts because the area has always been garbage. Exploring a new area is just the same hell again but with less desire to pull up a map.

You need to go to FP to get a item that lets you go far faster underwater temporarily.

Put simpily, you need to go to FP, then to Moon and listen to her, then do what she asked you to do (in submerged superstructure.)

Easier said then done, I got to my current shelter deep in submerged on a shelter failure cycle, I don't think I can actually make back the way I came without another shelter failure. So I guess once my frustration wears off I'll just die another dozen times trying to figure out where to go on an alternate route back instead of going deeper. I dislike the current outlook on this campaign, I quit it out of frustration once just trying to get out of the starting area and once in submerged already. I really hate that this garbage campaign is mandatory.

it's because your doing the whole campaign wrong. "spoilers"
when you get to moon she tells you about pebbles and just return to wherever you came from encouraging you to visit pebbles in pebbles you see the mess that rot created he tells you that he deserves nothing nor can be forgiven and the least he can do is giving his mass reflection cell to her.
you pull it out (this also causes the rain to get back to normal) and bring it to moon she tells you that it's no good news that you have this and she no longer has one, there's a access shaft nearby go and put it into a functional location into my structures that is very deep into the water be careful.
this is the intended way to go to the submerged as the reflection cell is necessary on there.
I have no idea how did you even find it on gourmand and why did you go there with how much water is on there.

A no spoilers, B, the game doesn't exactly give instructions so doing it wrong is something they should avoid designing into the game given how open ended it's exploration tends to be. It's not like going off a scripted path, it's walking around in a game about walking around and finding cool stuff. Going to a new zone that was be teased in previous campaigns as just out of reach on the only character that is built for it shouldn't be the wrong path to take. It's litterally been there taunting me for multiple campaigns and I'm finally on the character that can do it. Why did they make THAT the wrong path!
