Custom Regions support among other things was busted to all hell with the update to 1.9
Even though ONH and pilgrims ascent have released; the pearls and echoes in them are all extremely bugged and conflicts with the way the game loads custom areas can often cause crashes now.
Basically they have to rework the entire Custom Regions framework that custom regions are supported on first. And then every mod author has to go through and update their mod in the new map editor and do some code zuckery to support the new custom regions to get them to function properly. Even then we likely wont see the custom pearls from them for a long time as the way those are read have been completely changed since now they can have up to 3 different lore entries based on whether Pre collapse moon, Post collapse moon, or 5p reads them. So they have to port the pearls to support the new pearl system and write 2 more lore entries for each pearl.
So basically the entire framework needs to get fixed , and every region itself needs to get manually ported into the new framework and the pearls and echoes and other lore redone.
We might see some return faster than others, albeit with bugged pearls and echoes.
But really I wouldn't expect to see alot of them until fall or winter 2023. maybe even summer 2024 Some may not ever be ported to 1.9 since it's just too much work for the mod authors.
