Miros Vultures are one of the worst creatures in game
That's right, these satanic hybrids of two predatory birds are a horrible mistake of existence. Why?

First of all, they have a maximum aggression towards the Slugcat and often ignore everything else, which not only makes them an infuriatingly major threat to the player, but also violate one of the major design principles of Rain World, that the main character isn't some sort of hero of the world, but rather a small creature in a diverse, simulated ecosystem, and it means that your predators sometimes hunt down other creatures if possible, yet this inhumane level of aggression is breaking that rule in severe ways, and it also means they can remain in the same room as you are if you wanted to escape them by crawling under tight tunnels which they and the two large birds they are intended to mix are incapable of, potentially until the rain arrives.

Secondly, while I understand fighting these is not recommended, they have a concussive laser attack that can stun and/or kill you, often times they do this when injured, but sometimes these lasers will happen even if you never even done anything to them. The only times I successfully killed these is as Saint using his ascension powers and even then it was severely painful to deal with these organisms purposed exclusively to cause pain and suffering for anyone who simply encounters them.

Apologies for the harsh rant, but I believe that Miros Vultures are arguably tied with Rain Deer in terms of flawed design that often ruins various experiences, and while you may say Rain Deer is worse due to the requirement of them to traverse above huge patches of Worm Grass in Farm Arrays, you can simply go to subterranean through other regions, such as Shoreline or Pipeyard.

I think it kind of makes sense for them to be so agressive to slugcats because 5p strongly implies in arti's campaign (when bringing him the shaded citadel pearl) that they and the miros birds were made to guard religious sites, graveyards and such. Of course an intelligent creature like a slugcat would pose much more of a threat in terms of stealing and being able to use explosives. Most creatures aren't able to impact the environment as much as a slugcat that can ram spears into walls and use grenades. Perhaps this is some kind of instinct of theirs to target such things with high priority.

It's understandable for the flightless Miros Birds on why they exist and overall they can be dealt with by the tunnels that you crawl through and the flashbangs that grow wherever they roam, but the flying Miros Vultures are often found in multiple other places, much of them not even include any tunnels or flashbangs, so unless you're playing as Gourmand or at the very least have his crafting ability during an expedition, you are much less likely to evade their beaks and lasers.

Miros Vultures are actually pretty easy to kill when you get the hang of it. They can be stunlocked effectively. One explosive spear can stun, then use a second spear to just repeatedly stab before it can explode you. Dead in seconds.
Alternatively, electric spears might as well be an instakill for them given they'll either plummet into a death pit or the player can just repeatedly shock them to death.

Supposition: Miros Vultures are the INTENDED final design of the creatures. Miros Birds are the broken or unfinished versions of the intended final design. As things get worse and worse, Miros Vultures become fewer and fewer, because they cannot be properly replaced by the degraded equipment any longer.
