How do i find slugpups?

So I did the gourmand food quest, beat the game (the unique way) and it said the notice.
But I have searched everywhere (literally) and still no slugpups. Any tips?

slugpups spawn randomly in shelters or near them. but i dont think they spawn after u completed gourmand with food quest done. i mean u need to restart if u want to find them as gourd (i think)

At the start of each cycle, there is a chance that a slugpup will spawn inside (or at least near) a random shelter in the current region. The chance is region specific, so pups are more common in some regions than others, and in regions with more shelters they may be harder to find. Also, pups only spawn naturally for hunter, gourmand, and survivor. For gourmand specifically, I think you are immediately given some pups if you load the save after getting the ending that unlocks them.
From what I’ve read it sounds like industrial complex can be a good place to look for them, as the spawn chance there is moderate and there aren’t a huge number of shelters, so it’s easier to check most of them within a single cycle.

from what i know from the wiki , they can even spawn in ongoing campains (they spawn only for hunter , gourmand and survivor) after you finished the food quest for our rotund little fella
