steam workshop doesn't work on steam deck
When I install a mod from the workshop on the steam deck, it appears in the remix but don't do anything, and configurable mods say I can't configure them. The only working mods are the built in ones like the DLC and I think arena levels work too.

I didn’t know what any of that even was but after a lot of googling it did work so thanks.

I can’t figure this out, can you explain what you did to fix this? I added the override but it still isn’t working for me.
Edit, never mind, got it. For anyone else with this problem this article has what you need

Almost a year later, still hasn’t really been answered.
In short: Yes, it’s possible.

You’ll have to go to the game’s Steam settings (Game page in library -> cogwheel) and change these options.

Under the “Compatibility” tab, click “Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool,” and choose “Proton Experimental.”

Then, under “General,” scroll down to the Launch Options and input this:

WINEDLLOVERRIDES=“winhttp=n,b” %command%

Worked! Thanks!

Tip: Make sure you get the space in the command!
i think i was in a rain meadow arena with you a couple days ago
I made a thread about this a while back, basically it's an issue with Steam Proton's configuration and you need to add a DLL override. The thread I linked has this solution in detail. It was originally for playing on Linux but it also works for the Steam Deck too.
