Where is the overseer trying to take me?

So I'm playing the game for the first time with 2 of my friends. Now we're having a lot of fun but wondering around getting lost is really frustrating and would make my friends give up on the game. So I have taken on the task of trying to figure out where we are supposed to go and what we are supposed to do without spoiling everything for myself. I'm mostly using the interactive map and two guides here on steam. (Full Detailed Map and Storyline Region Routes)

So right now me and my friends are in part 2 of the story, headed from Moon to Five Pebbles. I know that we have to go through Shaded to Memory Crypts then up Leg and into Overhang (and there is a "shortcut" through Wall but you shouldn't do it on your first play though). Everywhere says that this is the only possible path.

Now here is where it gets weird. Our Yellow Overseer friend does all well and good leading use towards Five Pebbles (Except it doesn't cause if it did we wouldn't need guides, but hey it's the only friend we have so far, so I'll give it a little credit) up until we get almost to Memory Crypts. Suddenly it's telling us to turn around. I have no idea where it's trying to tell us to go and I don't particularly want to follow it back into Shaded Citadel and wonder around blindly trying to follow it through the worse portion of the game (so far, I know it could get worse but I really hate dark areas and the lantern only helps so much). All the maps say that this is literally the only possible direction we can go but I know the maps aren't updated for Downpour.

Am I missing something?

Yeah... Iggy has been acting up in that area since th DLC dropped. Some people have theorized it's because some rooms were moved around and regions changed so Iggy tries o route the shortest path through those rooms using the old shortcuts, but I don't know for sure why it happens. Just ignore him, you already know where to go.

Ah, thank you. You have know idea how much of a relief it is to know I'm not leading my friends the wrong way. Um quick question. Why Iggy?? XD It's cute. I like it. Do the other colors have names too or are they all Iggy?

No only the yellow one is called Iggy, none of the others have names to my knowledge. I think it's because the devs called him that at some point.

I see. It's funny. I'll have to tell my friends he has a name. So far it's just been "Yellow Guy" and "Lil' Guy" and admittedly "Yellow ♥♥♥♥" when we die a lot XD

Hey we have released a patch that should fix the yellow overseerer pointing you in the wrong direction

Yeah I ran though there after the patch and they seemed to be pointed in the correct direction the whole time, so woot! It does seem to be fixed.

as of today, it still seems to point in nonsense directions, or does this only apply on starting a new game?

we really need official names for the others, especially now there's even more of them.

Yellow - Iggy
Blue - Ziggy/Ziggies? there's loads of blues in some areas

I already percieved you in a positive light, but this reply here is too silly to not respect you on a whole other level.

Ziggy feels too wacky and radical for the common blue. This is also 5P overseers we're talking about. My immediate thought was "oh Pebbles -> Piggy" but that's just stupid. Perhaps "Figgy"? Too simple still I suppose. Maybe "Siggy" is a good fit, seeing as it de-radicalizes your initial suggestion of "Ziggy" without changing it drastically.

I don't know about "Liggy", it sounds too much like "licky". Giggy (g as in green see haha I'm so clever) sounds dumb but I can't stop myself from posting it here. A drastic change from your Liggy, but one I think needs to happen. Or maybe "Viggy"? Still a drastic change but at least it's not "clever" (<-cringe), like Giggy.

Biggy is undisputable. That's official now.

Seems Daszombes had other names in mind. As far as I know he's the most popular RW youtuber (at the very least for lore, right?) and trying to make anything contrary to what he says official will be difficult.
