popcorn as saint

is there a way to open popcorn plants as the saint? one popped open during the blizzard at the start but I can't replicate it

I don't think so. I wasn't able to open any of the other ones. I found that food wasn't much of an issue during my run.

Well, I never have done it, but... yes and no.
Normally Saint's spears just get harmlessly thrown as items when trying to use them as weapons, however, Saint apparently can open the popcorn plants through spoiler-y means.
Way to open them: Saint's enlightened form can "ascend" a popcorn plant, causing it to open.
I hope this this is a satisfactory answer.

Supposedly plants open whwn it gets cold enough. So if a popcorn plant is your only source of food, wait until the storm gets bad enough. Might be wrong.

I HAVE FOUND A WAY. i installed rotund world (and i think it lets you pluck out popcorn plants) and i got a popcorn plant. left it in the shelter next to a lantern and returned to see it popped, yielding 4 popcorns (4 food pips)
im pretty sure if you let it around lanterns long enough it will pop (like irl corn on a cob lol)
