But you will still have a very hard time getting them to stop for a ride, unless you find their favorite treat. Spore puffs are yellow-grey oval things that look like they're releasing smoke, and usually found in smaller underground/indoor rooms of Farm Arrays.
They're good for killing insects, but they're also what helps you control raindeer. Be careful not to throw them, they break! Only do so if you must, like to kill bugs with the fumes, or make a raindeer change direction.
Otherwise, it's best to just carefully set the spore puff on the ground, and any raindeer on screen will immediately go to it and try to eat it. If you are fast enough, you can grab it off the ground when they dip their head, then grab onto their antlers for a ride. If you're travelling a lot, might want to bring a spare spore puff in the slugcat's belly, aka '3rd item slot'.
Oh well, my first post can still be useful info for anyone else wondering the details.
Why would this affect regular appearance of important creatures like the raindeer?
Is it some bug?
