I like violence and moving quickly, what slugcat should I use?

and no spoilers please, just a little summary of what the slugcat can do would be fine. I have the dlc but I'm gonna play the game legit fully on vanilla first before hopping into the dlc.

artificer he got a boom boom jump and can create explosives

Artificer and hunter would be your best bets on violence and speed. Rivulet moves fast, but you usually don't really have the time/resources to fight, instead simply moving past enemies

Artificer gives you a lot of violence as Scavengers will kill you on sight and even regularly send killsquads to hunt you down.

artificer gives you lots of violence and good movement, both in the form of explosives

artificer is good, but if you ever wanna give up speed...well, gouromand is an absolute tank.

artificer is strong BUT, hunter will always be the destroyer of ecosystems, carrying 2 spears with that 30% damage boost is just too good to kill pretty much anything in 2 seconds and move to your next victim, Artificer is mainly focused on scavenger warfare instead.
Artificer can actually maul stunned creatures but this is actually a disadvantage, is so annoying to grab the enemy when trying to grab the spear attached to them so you end up wasting both hand slots and getting killed.
(There is also spearmaster but we dont talk about them, lore wise is meant to be an "apex predator" but gameplay wise is one of the weakest and the least food efficient, even gourmand is stronger)

Hunter:
+30% Damage
+Extra spear
+Carnivore
+Highest spear velocity (however spears can very easily be pinned to walls if you miss)
-Limited cycles (score run, and a lot of planning on routes and objetives)
Artificer:
+30% Damage
+Can sacrifice food for explosives
+High mobility
+Carnivore
+Stun enemies with self explosion (very efficient with centipede grabs)
+Can naturally take spears off walls (i dont know why but its possible)
-Agressive scavengers
-Maul enemies

if you like moving quickly, then The Monk is a perfect choice for you
you will complete the game in less than 5 hours and have almost no repetitiveness
if that is no speed than i dont know what is

damn I thought spearmaster was good. Kinda makes me sad.

So artificer if I want to murder the only equally sentient species that I can encounter. That sounds like a good time.

I also do love destroying things, so hunter doesn't sound half bad either.

spearmaster is fun but is not a "power fantasy" like artificer or hunter, its more balanced about being a big challenge

spearmaster is fun but is not a "power fantasy" like artificer or hunter, its more balanced about being a big challenge

being able to pull spears out of yourself still does sound pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool, even if the character is balanced,

Artificer and hunter for max violence. Rivulet is speedy.

Artificer can use explosions to go faster, and already without those is on par, if not faster than the hunter.

Spearmaster is crazy strong idk why people get the impression he's not. An understanding of fundamental combat vs lizards and setting up favorable situations, and he is a consistent killing machine. Not to mention, he does even more damage with spears than Hunter.

That said, he sure doesn't move fast, and dual wielding spears is not as good as a back spear... because rocks are useful.
