differences playing as slugpup vs slugcat?

SO after the downpour DLC came out, my friend and I instantly jumped into it together again and we realized we could change our ages into slug pups! Idk if this is a cosmetic change, or if it changes movement/breathing/behavior/health or otherwise, so I was wondering-
Does anyone know if there's a playstyle difference of playing as a slugpup vs playing as a slugcat?

I think it can affect your movement due to smaller size need different timing for moveset? not so sure about the others because playable slugpup is different from the actual slugpup(non-player), playable slugpup can do as much as a slugcat but the actual slugpup can only hold 1 item, and sensitive to fall damage.

The only difference I’ve noticed is height, though I think the actual hitbox is still pretty much the same. The main thing I’ve noticed it impacts is piggybacking, with two people there was a fruit we were able to reach when the pup was carrying the adult, but not when the adult was carrying the pup. The stack was the same size both ways, but the pup’s arms were lower when it was the one on top, resulting in less reach.

As far as I've noticed, it's cosmetic. Slugpups can make the same jumps and do the same movements as slugcats.
