for the other slugcats you gotta lineage it, check the interactive map to see which one you are interested in lineaging

post downpour they spawn in the wall, above the rain only after it starts raining they come out where the orange lizards are before it starts raining.

No lineage required, haven't tested monk yet but Survivor for sure for sure.

With Downpour (on survivor, haven't tested Monk), you can run into a cyan while entering The Precipice from The Exterior (I believe it was The Underhang, it was pretty early into the entrance from Memory Crypts). There's a lot of air, so it may accidentally kill itself.

I remember going into shoreline monk worldstate (safari mode) and somehow finding a cyan. I checked the map and I think its the karma gate next to the wall.

in downpour they will spawn at the precipice, otherwise it's a night/lineage spawn
