Where are the lizards??
I'm camping near a room with multiple lizard types, to help me finish up my 'Dragon Slayer' passage achieve, but all of a sudden there's NOTHING appearing in this room anymore, for multiple cycles in a row.

There isn't supposed to be any lineage that ends in 'nothing' here, so what gives? I feel like I've had this problem before, rooms that usually have lots of creatures being empty if I move to a closer shelter. Hopefully just a coincidence, but where are they!?

No it's a glitch, when you stab a creature but let it escape to its shelter after it's gravely injured there's a chance it won't ever appear again, there are mods that fix this. I think one was called many fixes mod, from MSC.

1. the lizard could have migrated to a different shelter if it didnt reach its own before rain
2. if a creature escapes to its den injured it will glitch the den and wont spawn ever again due to a glitch

They both fix this one, it said so in the description, but it's been more than a year since I've used it so I could be remembering wrong. And wasn't many more fixes going to be applied for MSC?

MSC and Downpour DLC are not the same
Dowpopur DLC is essentially, MSC + Jolly coop + Many more fixes + Slugsenses

Ahem, how about reading the readme file of the mod before typing further? The fixes were ported from the Many slugcats expansion.

Holy crap, that must explain it then. I know for sure I've injured a lizard that got away last time, at least. This is definitely why I never saw that big green lizard in front of the garbage waste scav fortress again, or the yellow that was supposed to replace it. What an absolutely awful glitch, makes their whole lineage system worthless ♥♥♥♥!

I guess I'll see if one of these mods can fix that.
Are there any other game-breaking bugs as severe as 'never see this creature again cause they got injured'?

Also, the 'Many More Fixes' mod refuses to allow access under mod options, I already made a post in the bug forum about it, but I think I'll probably use that plain 'death fix' mod instead, unless 'MMF' still works and has good 'basic' options set?

update:
Deathfix.DLL seems to have zero effect in-game so far, I tried looking around after resting for a new cycle, I also did a cheat to quickly scope out that garbage wastes lizards spawn I mentioned too, and still nothing. Also unlike that Fixes mod, the BepInEx/Realm say's it's enabled with no errors found. Supposedly.

I haven't modded the game in a long while, but have you tried using partiality? Don't know if it's supported anymore but it worked for me fine last time. I know so because the tamed cyan lizard I had that disappeared for about 50 cycles came back to me in outskirts.

As for other game breaking bugs, I don't remember any, other than creatures taking you out of the shelter as it's closing making you wake up outside the shelter but that's not really game breaking.

I guess you could kinda softlock yourself if you have a ton of dead bodies in the shelter, or if scavs hate you so much they'll constantly send a small sized army after you.

That's considered outdated now, most people use BepInEx/BOI , or Realm (which is a UI like BOI but a bit newer and imo better).

It looks like the 'deathfix' is working on the 'many more fixes' mod, but it's annoying I can't access the options still. It sounds like it mostly just choices for FPS and graphics 'quality' though.

I don't even remember using any options last time I used that mod. Good thing the lineage thing is working out, albeit gotta warn you, many fixes sometimes makes snails go to places they usually don't. So you can have them crawling all over garbage wastes, once in shoreline I even drowned because of one. It appeared in an unexpected place.

And the thing about scavs not killing you unless they intend to with this mod, I'm not sure how much of it works as intended as I have definitely been killed by a friendly one before.

Anyway, hopefully when downpour comes out the lineage break bug will be fixed officially.
