What should I do to tame a Salamander? (food wise and where to find it)
Please help I am trying to tame a Salamander in drainage system but with no prevail. Thanks for possible future help

Dead popping turtles work good (make sure they're actually dead. don't want them blowing up in your lizard's face), and centipedes too, scavengers if you're feeling mean. If you're in hard mode you can also feed them dropwigs. As for where to find them, there's no place in particular where there's a lot of them, just sorta gotta wander till you find one.

I tried to feed a salamander a snail but he refused the snail (I have a health bar mod and it wasn't popping so it was dead)

Not sure if there's any food for salamanders in drainage. I think I might have seen a squidcada there once, but I could just be remembering wrong.

If there's no food, then there's no choice but to carry a squidcada, noot, bug, centipede or whatever you can find from outskirts back to drainage.

It's easier in shoreline, because you can tame them by saving them from vultures or feeding them jetfish.
