Best pet lizard ?

What is the best color to have ? Are there any lizards that could follow you anywhere ? Also please avoid spoilers thanks :> (i'm not even past industrial complex yet)

White lizards on normal gamemode , and cyan-jump-lizards on hardmode.
It is possible to get cyan-lizard spawn on normal if you kill enough blue lizards in industrial complex.

To be fair, you really don't have any other way of knowing you can do it besides MAYBE the very slight chance of accidentally feeding them or saving them. On a first playthrough, it's only implied you can befriend scavengers and nothing else, which is not the case.

I don't have much experience taming lizards, as all I have is a blue(which was an accident) but from how I've studied the lizards I'd put my money on white

a little update, i've just found those weird swimming lizards in shoreline, are they also tameable ?

There's monster kelp but that's not usually under the water so I'm guessing the leviathan o3o" Stay away from it, it can eat you. Also I definately think white lizards are the best (on normal, I suppose. I haven't tried taming a cyan lizard yet .)

So far I've only tamed green, white, blue and orange lizards. I liked the white one the most, but he got picked off by scavengers quickly. The green ones seem to stay around (and alive) a lot longer from what I've seen, but can't get to a lot of hard to reach places the way white/blue can.
