@Airem: Please note that this (most likely) does not happen to all the pole plants, but only specific ones.

But anyway, I guess pole plants are interesting creature in Rain World. Even though they are actually quite strong and can move around wide range, they always keep to be quiet. They are so diligent to mimic a pole behavior.
Very very interesting. I assume all creatures have that, since Mirors Birds come in a big stampede, making loud noises, very sharp scissor mouths, and have probably been patrolling their respective areas for a long time.
