Help: Chieftain and Outlaw achievements.
I am not sure what I should be doing.

Outlaw seems to increase when I kill at least a couple of lizards, but I die more than what I can increase.
As for Chieftain, it has increased for grabbing pearls, coughing and swallowing back a special pearl has also increased it, but it won't work always. IDK how long I have until I am able to find another pearl and then find a scavenger.

I'm at Industrial Complex's shelter near the hidden scavenger store-room trying to tackle both.
Then I only have to get the Friend to 100% this game.

The easiest way to get outlaw is to travel to the shaded citadel and just kill 2 lantern mice per day for few cycles (you'll also be able to get the friend achievement at the same time this way if a lizard grabs those dead mice).

As for chieftain... I'm not 100% sure. Just generally be friendly towards scavengers, give them pearls at the toll gates, don't attack them, help them fight if they are being attacked by a predator and act respectful when they are around (i.e. drop weapon and crouch down). But I've noticed my chieftain progress altered even up in the Leg, where there are no scavengers, so perhaps there is more to it.

For the outlaw - try finding a shelter with an abundance of easy food and a lot of creatures around. I did both the Chieftain and Outlaw in the Chimney canopy lower shelter - there are a ton of lizards around, vultures and a tribe of scavengers, also a secret scav arsenal right next to the shelter!

Basically, for Chieftain you can throw pearls at random scavengers for an increase in relationship. Mushrooms work too but not every time. Just make sure you don't attack any scavenger. Pearls often spawn in the scavenger rooms, you can grab it first and if there are scavengers in it - throw it to them and get some progress )

A lot of progress, almost one third of the bar, can be made if you successfully save any scavenger from a lizard or a vulture. It can even be killed by something else afterwards, what matters is the fact that a creature grabbed a scav and you made it drop the poor fella. I also managed to instantly tame a white lizard carried away by a vulture this way, sadly it fell down a cliff shortly afterwards ((

It also seems that killing bats with spears gives some progress to Outlaw.

100% achievs, sage advice guys.

I feel like a piece of ♥♥♥♥ for what I did to the mice.

I still made the Chieftain near the Industrial Complex, it hit me I could be giving them the mushrooms nearby, and also laundered the pearls (LOL), I thought it was the easier spot.

Thanks for the advice and info, I'll also try to be nicer to the scavs.

The chieftain is dependant on your global reputation with scavengers so don't stick to one exclusive area. The progression also slowly decreases if you don't interact with them for some time. Killing scavengers decreases your reputation drastically as well. Good gifts for scavengers are pearls, vulture masks, mushrooms, and karma flowers. Once you get the achievement then scavengers will mostly all be passive and will let you pass through scavenger gates without payment.
