what happend to More Slugcats Expansion

saw the description for the mod on the rainworld db, but couldnt find any working downloads for it, did they discontiue it and/or shut the project down?

No, if it was discontinued it would be removed from the projects page on RainDB. The mod is still in development, if you have Discord you can also join the server linked on RainDB to follow the mod's progress.

Thanks, we're working very hard on the mod still (and yep I'm the main developer). It's taking a while to release because the expansion is very big... the current scope includes adding 9 new regions, two new game modes, new items/creatures, alternate endings, and a bunch of other stuff. It'll be worth the wait, hopefully.

There's actually an old version for v1.01. It works but it requires you to do some stuff with steam, and it doesn't have everything that they are planning to add to the new version (AKA no new regions, only the new sluggos).

Where is that mod, by any chance? Is it still availible? I saw youtuber Turtle Toad playing with the new slugcats, but every download link I've clicked on brings up a 404 error.

There is a section for 1.01 mods on raindb, you will find it there. It also shows you how to install version 1.01 through steam.

when is the one for the new version coming out and will it be compatible with jolly co-op

the new one doesn't have a set release date and as far as I know is compatible with jolly coop (I don't imagine the compatability would change, but it's been a few months since it was tested)
