Ruined playthrough at Five Pebbles? (Spoilers, obviously.) - NVM, it worked out.

Five Pebbles just killed me, sending me back to the saferoom before the zero-g generator area (in the part where the gravity constantly turns on and off, well before Five Pebbles himself).

I see that it seems to have autosaved that I have his mark. If I go back, now, will he just instantly kill me again?

If so, how do you cheat at this game? Because I'm either cheating past it or just uninstalling, negative reviewing, moving on and never buying another game from these terrible devs. I am not backtracking half the game for the sake of this oh-so-clever metaludonarrative wank.

A. You were in his room for way too long
or
B. You annoyed him by throwing something at him

It's odd that you still have his mark, but I'd suggest going back and exitting after he's done speaking to you. If he kills you regardless, or you get the 'GeT oUTtA mY rOOm' dialogue, just exit his chamber a.s.a.p and file a bug report.

Also please be a bit more respectful to the devs, they go through a lot to make this game what it is today, and they really care about their community! :'0

Also: Spoiler warnings are nice! Try using them more often! A lot of newer players browse the discussions for help and et cettera, some of them would like to learn about the game as they go. :P

Yeah Immediately after posting this I was back in, and managed to make it through, and he didn't remember. It just skipped the uplifting cutscene and went straight to the actual dialogue.

Re: be nice to devs - that particular part where I got stuck, was not OK. This game is right on the border of RNG vs legitimate skill challenge, to begin with. That extended section of minimal control RNG catapulting in zero g (that randomly turns off) was WAY too damn far.

that's the short and hard route through 5p. there's a longer one that is substantially easier and eventually lands you elsewhere in memory conflux.

The zero G is very clunky, but it is NOT RNG based at all. Calling it RNG based is straight up a lie. It's very accuracy-based rather than RNG based. The part I hate about it is how if you miss just a tiny bit in one direction, you get stuck floating for a while. The only unfair thing in 5P is when a daddy camps in one spot offscreen and extends their arm way across the room, which I've never had happen.

I'd say Rain World is 80% fair and 15% of the unfairness is a completely unintended side effect of the physics and really insane moments that could either be hilarious or just stupid. Honestly though, you don't seem to be enjoying the game to begin with, so I'd suggest dropping it now or taking a break rather than forcing yourself to play something you genuinely don't enjoy.

Lol actually it's pretty spot on if you slow down down, and there are very few actual threats though out the area, ..
Granted I been using the cowboy and having the spear on a rope gives you more influence, but you just bound when the gravity clicks off, and aim for the safe red vines, rails, or even a wall, post up, wait, bound again, ♥♥♥♥♥ bizarre the first time, but cake after.

I never have seen 5pebbles do anything, 3rd time he has started dialog with a rude GTFO statement, first visit you can tell he is actually kind jda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, then I go to Moon, and when i come back, the corrupted ♥♥♥♥ has completly taken over his spot and he insta kills me, but it's obvious that's he succumbed to whatever has infested that area.

Pretty sure it's that I made the same mistake 3x by ending up there first, if I go see moon first,.maybe it'll be different?

Also he gives the Commo mark + karma upgrade without any actual notice, so that leads me to believe that I'm not following the proper chain lol,

Yep. But if you truly don't enjoy the game, which I'm assuming he's not really enjoying the game that much. The slight bits of the game being "unfair' is gonna be amplified by 500%. So I recommend to really just stop playing the game if you're not enjoying it
