HELP PLEASE
ok, so I posted this a while ago in hte bugs section, and nobody cared, so I'm putting it here: My game is crashing. Now I'm no stranger to crashes, but when it crashes after LITERALLY EVERY DEATH and after EVERY SINGLE HIBERNATION, it kinda ruins the game. PLEASE, does anyone have a fix? I've tried verifying the files and reinstalling, but nothing helps.

it seems to be an issue with how your computer is handling the layering of transition screens. for this mods might actually help. and because of this there are a few steps to fixing it.

Step 1: Get Partiality. this a mod loader for RW. You can find it here, at github [github.com]
This will allow you to install a mod allowing for another fix.
Alteritvally, you can get it from the official RainDB site under the "Tools" section. here [raindb.net]

Step 2: Get the Flatmode Fix. you find this on the RainDB homepage. run this via partiality.
to run mods via partiality, simple run partiality first, this will make a "Mods" folder inside your RW directory. after this drag the flatmodefix.dll inside the mods folder.

Step 3: Place a file called "Flatmode.txt" in your RW directory. it doesnt need any text in the file, simply needs that filename.

Step 4: Run partiality, check the box next to Flatmodefix, then click "Patch Game". after that promt click run game.

After this your issues should be fixed, its a round-about method, yet so many people have needed to use it. after you do it once, you wont have to launch via partiality either, hope this helps!

Edit 2: If you need any help, DM/Friend me, and im willing to take a look

Random troubleshooting tips that you probably already went through:

You haven't edited any files, have you? No mods?
Is your game up-to-update?
Are you running other things in the background?
Is your computer an absolute potato?
Viruses?
Have you upset the ancients?
Have you tried re-installing twice in a row without playing between said installations?
Is your computer's vent too close to the wall?

Other than this, I have no clue what to tell you; I hope you can solve this soon ;_;

No mods, no other games running, decent computer, no viruses, and my computer sits on a cooling rack to keep from risking overheating.

This leaves one explanation. Oh boy.

Seriously though, thanks for the suggestions. I'll keep messing with it and see if i can fix this.

Seems weird. Have you tried verifying integrity of game files?

Woah, thanks for the help! I'm about to get to work on this, but I can't quite figure out how to download Partiality. I'm on the page on Github, but I don't see any links or anything that allows me to download it.

Yea, the formatting on that page is trash, to download Partiality simply click the text that says "PartialityLauncher.Zip" and it should begin the download!

Here is an Imgur link if you still confused! [imgur.com]
Sorry for late response!

Ok, I hate to ask for help again, since you've already been so helpful, but... How exactly do I access the RW directory? I'm pretty new to modding so this is a pretty big learning experience right now, and I want to make sure I do this right. Thanks again for being so patient and helpful, it's been really nice.
