Sad Rain World Experiences
What are some really sad things that happened to you in this game? Here's a few of my stories:

1. Pinky the Great.
So, I've owned three pet lizards in Rain World so far. Pinky the Great, Pleepo, and Lil' Blue. Pinky was my first ever pet lizard, and he was a loyal purple pupper [and yes, he was purple and not pink]. I tamed him in the shaded citadel with some lantern mice mostly on accident, but he didn't seem to know and/or care. We did many things together, like die via eaten alive by swarm of spiders, die via eaten alive by swarm of spiders, hunt lantern mice, prank black lizards, die via eaten alive by swarm of spiders, and much more. Though, eventually, I really needed to leave shaded citadel because the spiders were just too skilled for me to handle. Darn them spiders. The only problem... was that Pinky couldn't leave. The two northern gates both had a spot that he couldn't pass because of akward pole placing and akward path bugs, and I couldn't even get to the memory crypts in several pieces, let alone get us both past the miros birds. So, I went to the far western gate, where I wasted at least 30 cycles trying to get him to safety, though to no avail. We died together because of the rain many times, and he would never leave my side. Eventually, I had to leave him behind, knowing very well that he would never stop trying to get through the gate. And I knew that the rain had killed him for good now. Rest in peace(s?), Pinky the Great.
I don't have any screenshots of Pinky himself, though I did get this achievement with him and the lizard here looks a lot like him: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1267370932

2. Lil' Blue.
This is the last lizard I've owned, mostly because of the lesson this lizard has taught me about Rain World. So, I tamed him in the chimney canopy, which is my number one hated location now because of this. Lil' Blue was GREAT. He died for me several times, taking on three lizards at once and sticking by my side when the rain came. Lil' Blue wouldn't dare rest until he knew that I was safe. Long story short, we died A LOT. Mostly because Lil' Blue tried to eat scavengers and then I would die after murdering seven scavengers in revenge. And then lizards. Pink, blue, and white lizards EVERYWHERE. It took us probably 60-something cycles just to get to another hibernation chamber, the one close-ish to the gate to the wall, which was where I was heading. When we finally did get there and hibernate, though, Lil' Blue... 'changed'. And by this I mean that he was starving to the point where he would sometimes snap at me if I got too close, even killing me in the tiny hibernation chamber we stayed in. I felt really bad for letting him starve, and I couldn't even get him food. Eventually after another 10 cycles of death, he ran away as soon as we left the hibernation chamber. So, I let him go, after failing to keep him safe and healthy several times. He may still be out there in chimney canopy, living his life, but I will never know.
Also I ended up going to the sky islands because I couldn't make the jump to the wall gate area and I wasn't going to go down and take a squidcada back through that mess.

3. Fawn.
So, after a few cycles in the sky islands, I became familiar with the regulars [the scavengers that I saw and recognized a lot]. And, since I was planning on befriending them all anyways, and I would be staying for a while to get some achievements, I gave them some pearls and even saved one of them, Buddy, from a magenta lizard. They absolutely loved me and I got the achievement. There were a few that I saw sometimes and never saw ever again, but I always saw a certain three. There was a tan low-ranked one with dark cyan eyes which I named Buddy, a firey orange one with emerald-green eyes which I named Blaze, and a beautiful high-ranked ash-grey one with ice-blue eyes and a very elegant mask which I named Fawn. And I, of course, was their leader. They followed me, and we hunted together, slept in the same hibernation chamber together, and threw rocks at lizards together. Though, one day, while I was with Fawn and Buddy, a big magenta lizard had caught Fawn while I was killing an annoying pole plant. I darted after that bugger and gutted it. Though, Fawn was badly hurt- too hurt to move or even twitch. She did blink a few times, though, so I had hope. I dragged her a long way, attempting to get her back to my hibernation chamber in hopes of her healing after hibernation. Though, there was one spot where she was just far too heavy for me to jump to the next area with. I sat there for a long while, trying many things to get her to safety, but to no avail. Buddy watched all of this and even protected me from a blue lizard while i tried to help her. Eventually, we both sat outside near where the pole plant was and let the rain kill us. Luckily, though, due to the power of death, Fawn is now alive and safe and I gutted the lizard before it did any harm. Still pretty sad, though.

dude lizards can´t starve he was just injured, injured tamed lizards snap their mouths. I don´t know why but they do things like this and he prob didn´t run away but insted went to his hibernation pod to heal himself he would have return if you would have stayed near his hibernation pod. But you could try your luck and vist the region again where you lost him and look if he survived it there

Being befriended with scavengers at really high rep with them, then going to tame some lizards, then as I was going to feed a lizard, one really crazy scavenger killed it immediately. Then I threw a hazer, and speared that scavenger to death. I felt guilt. For some reason the other scavengers didn't care.

Once I was exploring in Industrial Complex and picked up a squidcada. I didn't know where it came from, but I ran around with it for a while. I found a green lizard and gave it the squidcada out of fear for my life. And then it was tame. He followed me everywhere and even defended me from not one but TWO blue lizards, but then I had to leave him behind because he couldn't climb poles. I was then eaten by a pink lizard shortly after. I will never forget my green friend. RIP green lizard.

I'm convinced tamed lizards can teleport. I accidentally tamed a white lizard in the leg while trying to pacify their local population, locked it out of memory crypts to keep it safe while I went to visit moon, and the little bugger met me on the way back through the shaded citadel, I have no idea how he managed to get past those rusty chickens but I'm trying to get him back home in one piece. He pulled the same stunt again in the industrial complex after getting stranded near the entrance (after being reduced to karma 1 trying to get us through memory crypts I'm taking a new route).
