Moving from garbage wastes to drainage system

My attempt to go that way resulted in a failure. After you pass a karma gate and move through the first flooded corridor you enter a canister with lots of leeches. Then you are supposed to go left through the pipe but I just could not enter that pipe after MANY attepts. It just won't let me go.

I also looked at the map and saw no way to get to the upper part of a drainage from there. Is that even possible? Looks like the only way to go is towards Fitration System, to that infamous "New player trap" location.

Leeches will only let go of you if they're out of water, your main goal is to mostly not get grabbed by any, and if you do, there should always be a place for you to climb into to get some breathing room in and those parasites off of you.

I looked at the map (from a guide) and found a way to go to the upper part towards Outskirts, you need to go towards filtration system and jump across that huge chasm.

I don't have problems with leeches. I actually can not enter the pipe, I reach it easily but can not enter, although there is a next room there and it is a common way through Drainage, I just follow it backwards.

As for chasm if I understand correctly what you mean this path is only doable by using multiple (4 or 5 i guess) spears to climb up with a limited amount of food around. Not a very reliabke way and a high risk to stuck badly.

Interesting idea, although popsnail would eventually stun me in that case. Instead there could be some creature killed by leeches. Thanks, I Will consider that.

Whatever it is, you could grab it, but there's usually only snails there and they can't be killed by leeches.

I recently revisited this location and I could travel through this pipe easily. Guess there actually was someone or something blocking it.

As for traveling back to outskirts - I found a way. In the flooded corridor there is a pipe going top, you must grab a bubble weed before entering, other way you Will die to leeches.
