[SPOILER] The monk can't win a certain achievement?

Apparently there are no colored pearls in Monk's storyline, so is it possible to win the Scholar Achievement while playing as a monk?

I stole two colored pearls (black, orange) from Five Pebbles and slept at the shelter but only the first pip (the one gained from plain pearls) is lit. Maybe the pearls from Five Pebbles doesn't count as the special colored ones?

likely you'd have to sleep with one at a time. regardless, its not like its the biggest concern in the world that you can't get 100% on easy mode.

Thx for the advice; but I tried sleeping with only one pearl but looks like the pearls from FP doesn't count as a colored one.

True, but thought the scholar would be achieveable as it popped up even in easy mode.

It's best to have one pearl stored and 2 pearls in hand. For the first time, rest with them in one shelter, do the same for the next shelter, and then for the third shelter spit out the one in your belly.

What I meant was that although the pearls from FP are colored, the pips didn't increase. Even when I rested the way you just mentioned. Maybe because the code seperates colored pearls found around maps from FP's pearls?

No.

FP's pearls just count the same way as regular silver pearls, despite their difference in colour. This is true for any of the levels of difficulty.

I've gotten the Scholar achievement anyways resting with them and one other grey pearl 3 times.

I've tried the same in the past and it never worked for me. If you take those pearls to Moon the dialogue is pretty much the same for silver pearls as for FPs pearls too. Unless this was changed during the update, to answer the OPs question, the Scholar achievement is locked off for Monk.

Silver pearls and 5P's pearls are not treated as the same thing by the game (even in the old version). Even with moon's dialog, with a silver pearl she'll say something like "this pearl is too faded out for me to read it", while with a 5P pearl she'll say something like "wow, this pearl has been written to very recently."
