How do I download the Drought mod?

I have the .zip saved to my google drive but I'm not as great with computers as I like to think I am (ó﹏ò｡) Can someone tell me how to actually apply the file to the RW files?

RainDB > (click Drought Mod) > Drought Mod google drive page > (right click "Rain World Drought.zip") > (click on download) > (File size warning will show up, click on download anyways)
Now you have the files.

If you don't have Partiality installed yet, follow this tutorial made by the creator:

I can't seem to find in the files where my Steam games are.

I navigated to a folder titled "Steam" by doing This PC > Windows (C:) > Users > (my name) > AppData > Local > Steam, but it doesn't show game files. Only 2 folders titled "htmlcache" and "widevine" respectively.

Can someone tell me how to access RW's .exe files? D:

Rain World executable should be in Steam\steamapps\common\Rain World, depending on where you installed Steam

The Steam folder you're looking for is the one in Program Files, not in AppData.

Drought is successfully installed fellas!! :D

Alright I don't know if I screwed something up with the downloading process or something, but the mod isn't working for me.

- The title screen doesn't say "Drought"
- The slugcat selection screen takes me to one option, my normal Survivor savefile (cycle 206, drainage system)
- My slugcat is invisible when I load the savefile??
- I get stuck going back and forth in the pipe if I try to leave my shelter
- Eventually the screen goes all rectangle-y and pixeled, and then the escape key doesn't work

I restarted my PC and launched it again, but the results were the same.

Is this a common bug? Is it an easy fix?

Rain World Drought is a Partiality mod! To begin, you must install the latest version of Partiality
It can be found here: https://github.com/PartialityModding/PartialityLauncher/releases
!!! Rain World Drought works with Partiality v0.3.11 and later !!!
Simply drag 'Rain World Drought.dll' into the 'Mods' folder in your rain world installation folder.
Then merge the 'Rain World' folder from this mod with the 'Rain World' installation folder.
Finally, run Partiality, check the 'Rain World Drought' checkbox and install the mod.

I think you are missing the mod custom assets. Check if you dragged the "Rain World" folder inside the Drought Mod zip file to your installation folder.

Ok. I added the assets and worlds to the mods folder, and while I now play as the little black slugcat, I still start off at cycle 206 drainage system.

Try doing a new game, in the Single Player menu hold R until a square shows up at the right of the start circle. Click that square and play.

If that doesn't work, try doing a clean restart. Now that you have the files and know how to install it there should't be a problem.

reinstall Rain World > Search Rain World in Partiality > Put the mod .dll on the Mods folder > merge the mod Rain World folder into the game folder, and start the game through Partiality. If you see 'Drought' in the start menu everything shoud be okay now.

I think I'm softlocked at the final Forest Sanctuary shelter... I can never seem to get enough food to boost me to the third karma level.
