Search for blue or pink lizards -> kill it -> hibernate -> repeat.

i would camp in the outskirts because of the increased lizard population so some will be killed by other lizards, and be overly aggresive towards lizards so you can use the lineage system: https://rainworld.gamepedia.com/Lineage_System , TLDR if you kill something theres a chance some other creature will replace it, also if you want to tame it you should probaly use the outskirts, as they have a large population of squidcadas and noodleflys

You talk about killing millions of lizards and sticking in one place, I was playing with a few mods, the only one that would effect this would be Hunter spawns for all characters and at the start of my second cycle, I was killed by a red lizard

Red lizard is hunter only ( they live in outskirt and industrial complex, but they are still rares, only a few in the game ), but you can make one spawn in other difficulties using the lineage system ( it's how is called the mecanic making so if you kill a bunch of ennemies, harder ennemies are going to spawn, basically just kill a lot of lizards in a den where you know a red can spawn ( you can check in the interactive map ) until a red spawn ) .

Red lizards spawn as a common lizard in outskirts, as Spearmaster. In most campaigns (Excluding monk and saint,), In industrial complex go north until a large room appears. There will be a red lizard there. In hunters campaign, red lizards may be common in farm arrays, or outskirts(?).
