Beginner Tamer

I want to tame something. Just a simple thing though. What's easy to tame, and is generally around an area with a lot of food? I would like to give taming a try. When easy mode comes out, I'm going to be a dragon tamer for the entire game. Since easy mode (yellow) slugcats are apparently left alone by predators for being in tune with nature.

The first lizard you encounter in Shaded Citadel, when entering from the Industrial Complex, he's right next to a hibernation point, a three rooms full of food. That's the easiest one in my opinion. You can also tame lizards in Outskirts very easily but you will have to drag heavy cicadas a very long distance.

Don't tame, it's a trap developers designed to make you feel depressed.
Eventually you can befriend a lizard, I did OwlCowl's exact method for the achievement, then I went back to my old thug slugcat life and Scales wouldn't stay but he couldn't come either.

I said "STAY! I GOTTA BOUNCE FAM... T___T" and then the doors closed.
It was like that episode from Pokemon when ash leaves Pikachu.
