Tips for Shaded Citadel?
So I started Shaded Citadel area without light, and following the paperclip's pointing, there is an area with water, with the kelp thing living there. How can I cross through the water?
One point is that I can hardly see, the other is I don't really know how to pass through this kelp thing. In the previous area I just keep away from them...
I can throw something to the first one, but it is easy to miss in the dark, and there is more(I think three?) ahead so I can't hold enough weapon ><

First run through, I found *four* tasty bugs in that cave. Another time only a measly one, but luckily another one happened to be on the next screen.

I've tried the memory crypts run for like, 30 times...
I think I only made it to the leg for 4 times, first time I saw 2 bugs, and then no bug, 1 bug(this time I fell down the space under cabin), no bug...it's a pain, when I found that there are only 3 fruit at the leg's cabin ;-; so I'm still stucked at here...
Guess I'll start a new save and play around with lizards for a while before I come back...

I'd say stick at it, it's certainly beatable... the food might seem like slim-pickings, but there aren't any high-karma gates to pass until you get to an area with plenty of food later on, you only need to beat each section and have enough to hibernate at each checkpoint.
It does help if there are at least 2 bugs to fill up on at that point, but one is probably enough to make it.
Make sure when you get to The Leg, that you try and climb up to the next screen, and then over to the safe-room... attempting to jump straight across is a very tough jump.
For the memory crypts, aim to stay underground as much as possible... and be sure to grab a couple of blue orbs as you go - if you get caught in a tight spot, you can throw one to stun any scissor birds near you.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but do any of you guys have tips for surviving the spider hordes? Damn things practically move as fast as you and kill you if you make the slightest stumble (which I am prone to doing because of how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ creepy the spiders are). The light from the glowing creatures only does so much to help navigate faster than the spiders, and the hole I learned that throwing the spiders said creatures distracts them, it becomes impossible to progress at all with my light source being eaten alive. Any tips?
Trade for a lantern with the scavengers. If you're coming from the shoreline gate there should be a scavenger shop just below you at the end of the bridge on the citadel side.

Those glowing blue orbs on stalks, you occasionally find two or three growing together...
When you're about to get mobbed by a pit full of spider-hordes, throw one of them at a nearby wall. It'll knock out every spider at least in the immediate vicinity, if not the entire room.
Also works on a certain type of enemy later on in Memory Crypts

Thanks for the tips again! I usually try to run on the land because it gives me more time to get the bugs (it usually climbs into background ugh)
