Bad area (the leg)
I went from shoreline > shaded citadel > the leg and after getting past the clackbirds (which was actually fun) the game throws the most retarded level design i've ever seen at me and even worse enemy placement. Right after the hibernation room when you then have to go up is horrendous, who thought that putting a one way path to progress through the leg and then dumping a camo lizard right in the middle of that path was a good idea? i can't even hide or run the only way past him is climbing the poles which he can just snatch you away from with his tounge, so i have to head back to run away from him then he proceeds to just stay still and not move because his AI is programmed to be stealthy so i sit and wait for them to move a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ inch to progress. This game has it's moments of being unfair and annoying but the leg by far takes the cake and i'm barely even 5 rooms in. ♥♥♥♥ everyone who was involved with that cancer. The leg needs quality control ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pronto. Atleast the entrance to the leg.

inB4 everyone starts gnawing on dev ♥♥♥♥ and coming to their rescue

Oh, and i guess any tips would be helpful, thanks.

the enemy placements are random, and are typically pretty similar if you die and the cycle is reset.
with respect to your issue, I would recommend that you draw the lizard's attention, (maybe throw a rock at it to piss it off) then lead it away from where you want to go, get around it, and proceed as you would. The leg is hard, but not impossible. After clearing it the first time, I got a lot better at tricking the lizards and the longlegs, and you likely will too.

well if he grabs you with his tongue is not the end of the world; you can still get away if you quick enough.

I had a lot of trouble with that area and lost like 3 hours to it. The lizards barely changed spots, and the RNG never helped, occasionally made things worst.

My advice, Sad Bear, is to try and avoid them as much as possible, despite being confined to a linear path. The first lizard can be avoided going under the platform, the others either walk slowly if they're facing away or spear them from behind.
If you meet the blue tentacles towards the next shelter, just be silent and wait till it goes his way.
There are two paths you can take towards the middle, left and right. Right requires masterful use of the web bugs, the left may drop another lizard in the way, but it's generally easier.

The areas after that aren't nearly as hard, specially if you know what to do. Hang in there (no pun intended).

You can trick lizards into entering doorways, if you go back through the door as they chase you, you will simply squeeze past them leaving them in the room behind you.

Also the backflip is very useful for getting past lizards. If you throw a rock at the lizard, you can knock him to the ground. He will most likely try to chase and lunge after you instead of using his tongue.

When he chargest, backflip over him and you're in the clear. It helps to throw a spear into his ass as well. It will signficantly slow him down.

Way past the camo lizards now and stuck on the orange lizards just after the third hibernation spot.

I have used this method for quite a while and it generally is quite useful, until now, that is, it's easy to dodge one lizard but the game has from time to time thrown up to 4 orange lizards after i get past the first blue octapus thingy.

I have also tried to do this and dispite how boring it is, it can work at the mere cost of 1/3rd of your day. Considering how long the third shelter to the fourth shelter is, i simply just don't have time to wait for blue hentai bro to move his ass. It's even worse when he gets snagged on one of those sticky worms.

All in all, even with all these tips I just can't get over how god-awful this place is.

Another useful trick: if you aggravate a longlegs, then disappear into a tunnel, as long as you stay out of it's field of vision afterwards, the long legs will usually investigate the pipe where you disappeared for a decent while.

Operating from the right vault makes a world of difference.

Learn some of the advanced moves. Slug cat is one of the most mobile creatures in the game with a bunch of tricks that can weasel his hitbox away from the lizards.

When you backflip. You can actually continue your motion into a roll by holding down and the direction that you're moving in.

While you are rolling, press JUMP and slug cat will do a diving leap. This leap gives you the normal jump height. Covers a distance GREATER than your standard leap. And will raise your body so it's harder for the lizards to nab you.

Also the leap moves you faster than a normal run. It's good to use this to dive into pits if you are being chased.

IVE BEEN ON THIS LEVEL FOR 3 DAYS the worst is that transition between the 5 orange lizards that like to sunbath on the edge of the transition so when the screen goes to the left, you get welcomed to an instant death or if you escape it calls its friends and they all sandwich you from any escape. If you manage to get super lucky and sneak past them all you have to deal with 4 camo lizards with tongues. On top of that you have to be fast because by the time you get past the orange lizards it's already about to rain. That area is soooooo ♥♥♥♥♥♥...and I'm playing as gourmad so everytime I overexhaust myself near the lizards it's an instant death so there's no way to beat them. I really should've saved my last singularity bomb but if i wanna get another I have to go all the way back to before the underhand for a karma flower!
