[SPOILERS] Ending

So do we know if there's another ending? other than this lsd overdose trip (ascension). Can we actually find our family? I love the game but I don't really want to backtrack all tthe way back. gotta do my review now.

I just ascended myself so I'm pretty interested in this. There is some speculation that there is at least one alternate ending that involves finding the various hidden god-squid echoes across the world and the unique karma symbols they give you.

I got the ending of ascension but it was different for me. Everything was about the same except I didn't see the giant yellow figure/tree at the end, which looks like the souls of your family or multiple selves. Not sure if bad end or not. It's possible it was a glitch as well. I didn't give moon more neurons nor did I find all the hidden gods, only some. I did find five pebbles however.

You actually need to find peeble or only the 5 echoes to get through the guardian of the depth. Since it requires lvl 10 karma to go past them.

Personally, I'm curious to see what ascension looks like if you never eat any neurons and you don't have the second sight. It might not even work at all.
Maybe I'll try it on my pilgrimage run, some day.

For me the real ending is staying with moon like a family x) i am at 20 neuron with her haha. And getting alot of pearl, she gonna be smarter than peeble and get her glory back again !!!!

I just got the ending... honestly I'm so confused. What does it mean? Why is rain world the way it is? What were they doing in 5 pebbles? What is moon's deal?

You can learn more about the lore by bringing moon some neurons and then having her read the data on some colored pearls

long story short: moon and 5peb are a few of the massive supercomputers designed by a futuristic buddhist society to break the cycle of reincarnation. Eventually, the society found a way to completely erase oneself by dissolving in a special fluid. The same fluid that you dive into at the end of the game, which presumably kills you and frees you from the endless struggle of reincarnation.

One ending I think, I haven't found anything in the game's code that could prove multiple endings.

I got the ascension without meeting Pebble or increasing my karma, you can just push hard enough to get past that guardian thing, at that point I thought I got some crazy hidden ending, but turns out It just was the real ending.

Other species are hard to meet at the end of the world because they wouldn't have gone extinct.

so it applies to slugcat and not to other children (species).

No offense but this is entirely incorrect and I recommend you read into the lore first.

If so, where is it? There is no update on the ending in Korean Wiki..

Most of the better explanations have been on the RW discord server, honestly. There is no definitive explanation, but most of them here are far more likely than anywhere else.
