Do different colored lizards behave differently?
Am I supposed to be able to infer something by their color? I've noticed that some have really long tounges and others have stealth. If anyone wants to help me figure out a behavior profile for lizards, post here.

Here's a couple things I noticed. Green seems to have high health. I've hit a couple with a spear 4-5 times before killing them. Most others seem to take 2-3 and sometimes even 1.

I saw a dev mention that the pink lizards are supposed to be clever.

Color:
Green - Cannot climb pipes / background
Purple - Climbs poles.
Blue - Can cross background - Short tongue
Chameleon/White - Can cross background - long tongue - often sit and wait for prey nearby a tunnel.
Gold - ???? - Found them in quite a big amount in The Wall.

Extras:
Horned - Super aggressive (I only found a horned green lizard so far, not sure if there are others)

As for health, I'm not sure but I think I've managed to kill the same colored lizards with different amounts of hits. Might have something to do with where you hit or which weapon. But again, I'm not sure about that.

Cool. I'm thinking about writing a small guide of tips for new players. I thnk people might respond to this game better if it didn't have such a massive learning curve.

In addition, I'd add that

mole lizards are blind with excellent hearing,

green lizards are significantly more aggressive and resilient to harm,

Red lizards appear to be uncommonly tenacious,

Blue lizards and yellow lizards (and maybe white lizards) appear to have above average hearing, but not as good as mole lizards,

And Yellow lizards can go through tunnels scary fast

Edit: in retrospect, yellow lizards are pretty tenacious too, they'll chase you for a long time if you let them.

Getting stuck in the Wall for three hours wasn't pretty, but it was a great place to examine some lizards

the chameleon / white ones are the most deadly ones

I've seen red and pink ones too, but they're really rare, any idea what they do?

Also if you have the vulture mask, the white/camo lizards flee very very quickly from you

Blue: Small, can climb walls and short tongue, hunted by Greens.
Purple: Keen hunters, climb poles, don't let them see you.
Green: Dumb brutes that can't climb poles, have high HP.
Red: Purples that are way faster, deadlier senses, sometimes really LONG TAILS, and doesn't give up...
White: Climbs walls quickly, uses camo, and has a long tongue.
Yellow: Pack hunters that use their antenna to communicate, once one sees you, they ALL DO. Alphas have the longest antennas.
(That's all I know.)

Oh ♥♥♥♥..also I like how the white lizards can take your spear, but if they grab you you can hit em in the mouth and screw up their movement

God primate if you are listening, make it so you can harvest spines and lizard heads off lizards, so if you kill one and successfully sleep, you can frighten some lizards, or atleast make them wary. and obviously they can be knocked off to prevent them from being OP

I don't know if this is a common trait shared by all lizards, but the green lizards seem to be able to traverse the inaccessible pipes at will. I know that certain pipes are nesting zones or food caches for lizards, but the green ones seem to be able to enter most inaccessible pipes and reappear from any other inaccessible pipe? Am I simply misinterpretting this?

You have to knock it off of a vulture, they're those flying things with the skull mask

Actually if you take the time to observe you'll notice that the "inaccessible pipes" are connected the same way the accessible are. It's just that you, slugcat, cannot take them.

So, for exemple, if a lizard takes an inaccessible one which will call "entrance", he will always pop out from the same inaccessible one which will call "exit", or vice versa. They are not all connected to one another. Therefore you can learn some patterns and predict where the mobs will appear and thus be able to move accordingly.

However it seems that sometimes you can't see where a pipe leads to, you can try to guess though.

Yea, but do you know if the green lizards take pipes differently?

I've been hunting for a few cycles recently and I haven't noticed a different behavior regarding how they take pipes no.
