Karma Flower: exact mechanics?
In reference to the flower that locks your karma in place until your next death.

Every time I think I've worked out how these spawn, some inconsistency proves me wrong. They're clearly partially tied to where you died last, but I'll go long stretches without any as well. Then I'll find one randomly, and then it will continue to spawn where I died last for a while, before randomly stopping again until the next one I stumble across.

So, if I had to guess now: you find these at random to start, then it will spawn a limited number of times where you died last, at which point their spawn points become random again?

Someone please shed some light into this for me!

He was talking about the flowers you can eat which prevent you from losing karma if you die.

I think they spawn indefinitely, as long as you do not die again without having picked it up and again eaten it. The region where its dropped is kind of variable I think.. there are specific spots to maintain it reachable.
If you change the habitat and come back later to another the original one will spawn again.

At least that was my observation..

No no, you are referring to the plant that attracts bats, it's very useful, he is talking about the glowing yellow flowers that give you a karma shield

Well, I have noticed that the karma flowers prefer to sprout on land. So occasionally they can't spawn where you were killed and spawn in the 'last land you stood on before you died'.

Additionally, sometimes if you die in a tunnel or a small hole, the flower will be there, but it will be hard to see.
