Blue alien (couldnt find anyone else who knew about it) (spoilers)
So in the Shoreline I found this blue alien attached to some mech arm with little lights floating around her/him.
I attempted to interact but she spouts stuff i dont understand.
So i try to pry her from the thing shes attached too, but accidently grabbed one of her lights and ate it.
It seemed to harm her so i stopped and left to hibernate, but i stopped there too because there was these 3 glowing orbs in a room near the hibernation pipe and going near them just made them run off phasing through the wall, and on top of that. my yellow observer guide seems to have left me with no return from it

So...i dont wanna be that guy, but what the fruitloops happend???

if you followed the image at each shelter, The yellow observer was sent by the blue alien, since you eat one of her friend she is afraid of you now. (your character should glow though in exchange).
You can befriend her just by meeting her and sleep in a shelter without eating one of her jellyfish. If you do that she will help you get more.

The little yellow helper guide me to this Alien creature, but I didn't eat those "bright floating thing", instead I just left and hibernate.
So after that, that yellow helper show up and start to lead the way to find another "floating things".

Well dang, thanks for the response though
So I guess it's impossible to befriend her now that I've done that, unless starting a new game?
Mashymoo Mar 30, 2017 @ 3:49pm
I did start a new game after I realised you could befriend her. However there is a stage later in the game where you can find more jellyfish. It might be possible to gain back her friendship if you bring her some, but I can't say for certain. Also the distance between the areas is rather vast so I'm not 100% sure it would actually be possible.

I just ate all the jellyfish things, and now the alien died. Did I just fail horribly?

The little flying white things are called Neurons, and they are a part of her, that's why eating them hurts her. You can help her by taking Neurons from Five Pebbles (later area) and bringing them back to her.

Incidently what's the different between the Yellow and Blue guides? I often see multiple of the blue ones at ones (sometimes with the yellow one on screen), but I've never found an explanation for the 2 types.

Do you need to eat them to advance or could there be another way?

You don't have to eat them to progress the story. Once you have met the "blue alien", you can continue. Eating the Neurons allows you to progress faster through the story, in exchange for the well being of the "blue alien". So if you want to be friend with her, don't eat the neurons and continue to follow the yellow guide.

the blue and yellow guides are actually cameras and are called overseers, the blue ones likely belong to pebbles (due to the huge ammount that you can find in the wall) and the yellow one belongs to moon, though she says she has lost contact with them. (we don't actually know why the yellow one decided to act as our guide)

You don't need to eat any of Moon's neurons. You need to follow the overseer/guide and reach an area that has them. Once you get there eat some of the neurons in Five Pebbles (so your Slugcat glows) and physically carry two neurons out of there back to shoreline to give to Moon. Five Pebbles will also give you a device that will allow you to talk to Moon and other sentient beings.
When you give her the neurons she will than thank you and reprogram them to be part of her matrix. If you give her items (like fruit, flowers, mushrooms, etc.) she will examine it and tell you more about them. If you give her colored pearls she will read the information inside of them. Giving her pearls is comepletely optional but will give you some information on what the civilization that inhabited Rain World was like before everything crumbled.

Why does everyone keep reviving this thread? It's old.

The blue alien is named moon. If you eat one of her neurons she gets hurt, slugcat will glow if you eat them. The yellow guide was sent by moon, so that's why it left.

You ate her neurons, which can kill her. Idk if you can undo this or not without starting over.

That's only if you ate all of them, you can fix it if theres still some remaining. But seriously, why do people keep reviving this thread?
