I now see the necessity of this feature, but....I can't help but be disappointed that I can't get that yellow flower back. :(
It was intended just as Blackenblood says, to prevent people from just restarting a cycle over and over when things seem to be going badly, but I think theres ways we can do that without punishing people for, say... getting up to get a drink or something.
Suggestions are welcome!
Also incase of a bug that causes them to be stuck you can have an additional option when continuing to start from the last hibernation spot (with loss of karma)
But what if people hit Alt+F4 or game crashes and it won't be able to save in that short time?
@normalprimate please jump on disco, we mods have SO MANY questions that you could answer in liek; 2seconds.
there are SO many extra things to save to do this. it's possible, but the code is already.... hardly clean.
Also, one cycle is never really that long. So it shouldnt be a problem to quit at hibernation, at least it never was for me so far.
I understand peoples frustration, but i cant think of a good way to take this out without allowing cheating. Just knowing that you could save your karma by quitting would change peoples mindset while playjng. Hovering over the pause button at dangerous situations, quitting even though it could have worked out, and so on.
Dont change this too much guys :/
Thing is, I would appreciate having this option even as a means to cheat. It would have made this a better game. I stopped playing Rain World over the karma system and still long for a patch that lets me remove it. Due to the dodgy controls (especially crouching conflicting with moving down a ledge) and frequent unfair deaths, I'd even go for save states if it was an option.
