Lizard fights
Can Lizards still kill one another? Are greenies only able to eat blues? And why does it seem like Red Lizards only spit at slug cat, they should spit at whatever to catch it, that being said, I haven't seen much of them, so I could have just missed it.

Yes, lizards can kill one another

Each lizard has the potential to kill one another, I don't think "greens are always going to win against blues if they fight"

I have seen Green lizards eat many things, blue lizards are one of them.

Red/Purple Lizards dont spit/use their tounge (only the white and blue ones do), but they are more aggresive towards you.

I was talking about can greens eat other Lizard colors, and also talking about a completely different red Lizard.

They show up when you kill too many normal lizards to punish you

Oh, I mixed up the purple and red ones,

Turns out the Red lizards only appear once you ( The slugcat ) have survived in a region for too long.

Red lizards basically serve as an indication that you need to move onto a different region or face the consequences.

That being said, once they spot you and/or hear you, they're going to chase you for a long time. (Fun fact: they only have two legs)

(I have only seen them once since I like to consantly move from region to region)

Disregard that, (im not sure why I put that)
Red Lizards are the possibly the fastest lizards in the game (I think thats what I meant to put)

So does anyone know if they spit at other prey? I would love to see them take down a squidcada or blue lizard, and it would be dissapointing if they only spat at the player character.

While I can't comment on red lizards (haven't been able to get one to appear yet), green lizards appear to only be able to eat blues. I tried to feed one a dead pink one once, but it completely ignored it.

Red boss lizards dont appear to "punish" you for killing lizards they are a random rare spawn that happens after many cycles in the same area :p Green lizards will eat anything that will fit into their den.

They do in fact spit at cicadas if you have one in your hand

That kind of defeats the purpose, they are still spitting because of you. I had hoped they would make full use of their abilities to catch anything.

Maybe if you tame one (almost impossible) then they spit at other lizards and such

Red lizards should spit at anything they're trying to hunt, but the idea behind the spitting is that they mainly use it to get to stuff that's trying to hide by climbing, so the spitting conditions are something like:
-Want to eat the creature
-Creature is trying to climb away/hide high up on the level
and those conditions are way more likely to apply to Slugcat rather than anything else (red lizards aren't super stoked about hunting cicadas).

Thanks for the answer. Will you be adding other climbing oriented prey creatures around the regions aside from Lantern Mice?
