General feedback
First are the controls. Most of the time they work fine, but things like vents (or handholds? whatever the small things in the wall that you can hang off of but not enter into) work extremely weird. If you have a vent above an entrance its almost impossible to grab on to the vent to jump off of it to get to whats above the vent. There are a few other minor things, like holding down near a ledge will jump off of it when I intended to go for a leap, or throwing a spear to be blocked by a small protrusion on the ground but for the most part those are just me not being used to the controls.

Second are pits. Its not obvious when climbing down a ledge is another path, or when its a near softlock or deathtrap. For example, in the Industrial Complex the first thing you find is a tower. At the top of the tower, if you look to the right you can see pipes protruding from the wall, seeming to indicate that thats a path. If you try to go down this path you'll die, unless you hug the wall. If you do so, you'll go down a screen but after you reach the bottom of this area the screen will not follow you to the next screen and it seems like its an unintended area. Its basically a softlock except that you'll eventually die.

Third is grabbing enemies acting very weird. Alot of the time you can just run passed them. Some of the time they'll instantly grab you. This can be construed as AI or them not noticing you, potentially intended bhavior. Recently, enemies were right in front of a safe zone. I dropped from the ceiling directly into the safe zone, entered the safe zone, climbed all the way into the safe zone and then died (from being grabbed from before I ever entered the safezone) the safezone then closes with my halfway inside of it (animation looks like its crushing) proceed to climb out of the safe zone (as I'm dead I have no control at this point) and then I'm in the jaws of whatever grabbed me.

So overall its a fun game, but theres definitely areas where it could be more polished. These are the major things that bothered me while playing. There are minor things that I'm not really mentioning as they aren't that big of a deal. I know I'm only mentioning negatives, but I am really enjoying the game. If I wasn't, I wouldn't take the time to offer feedback. I like the flow of the game and the focus on exploration. It reminds me of Knytt if Knytt had any danger involved whatsoever.

You don't need to hold the down key to leap. Just tap it and slugcat will lie on the floor then you can hold jump button to leap. When you tap down and see slugcat is slipping of the ledge you can quickly change direction to avoid falling or you lie down beforehand and crawl towards the ledge to leap.

Okay that may or may not be an unintended area as I have no way of knowing. Because the thing where the screen refused to follow me happened when going down the left side of that very same tower. An area where you climb from to get to the top. Must be a bug, I had assumed that the screen wouldn't follow you to unintended areas the first time it happened.
