Order of Battle: World War II is a breath of fresh air for all strategy fans. It is a game that takes wargaming to a new level by upgrading every single game element and rebooting the genre for a new generation of players.

Order of Battle: World War II - New tournament open for sign-ups

Do not miss the chance to sign-up to the new tournament "Open - May/June 2024". You can sign-up here[www.slitherine.com].

There will be 3 Tournament Maps:

Round 1: Island Hopping
Round 2: Wake Island Assault
Round 3: Crescent Bay

The tournament follows Swiss Tournament rules: you can find the full list of rules here[www.slitherine.com].

The first round will commence on Tuesday, 14th May 2024 at 11am GMT. No further entries can be accepted after the tournament has begun.

The tournament will last 3 rounds, 16 days each. Games are paired, so each matchup will be played both ways. All you need to do is sign up, then the system will pair you with opponents and create your PBEM++ games. You will be notified by mail of when the tournament is starting and when it will be time to play your turns.

Winter War DLC: How does it compare to SGS game about the Finnish war?

Has anyone played both the Winter War DLC, and SGS Winter War . Curious the OOB DLC compares to the SGS game for the same WWII theatre of war.

Strategic Bombers and Heavy Fighters useful?

Are those planes any useful in the longer multiple-DLC-campaigns? I've never used them in the original US/Japan campaigns and so far my experience with the long campaigns is limited. Only played about six missions in the German and Sovjet Campaign so far....

Problem with mod installing

I own a macbook and i am trying to install the Spanish Civil war mod, which's file is supposed to be introduced in the "mods" folder, however i cannot find such folder, only the scenarios and campaign ones. Thank you.

An excellent "Beer & Pretzels" wargame. Good for beginners and those looking for a middle of the road learning curve. The bulk of the negative reviews revolve around the devs poorly worded and thought out use of the tag "Free to Play". The base game, which only includes the four mission tutorial, is free. You must then purchase individual campaigns as paid DLC. So, give the free base game a try, then if its your cup of tea, try some of the DLC...they have a very nice variety to chose from.
