Has anyone ever done a US campaign at admiral or fleet admiral level. Or even captain level?
You get to a point in this scenario ( New Georgia) where you are on the defensive but at the same time need to advance. The Japanese are merciless in their attacks. I find it interesting that some of you play with strong naval units whilst my only one so far has been an aircraft carrier. The scenario briefing suggests that naval activity in this scenario is limited, but I like the sound of a battleship to pulverise the japanese!! I have played again since my earlier whinge but still no success. Improvements yes, but no victory.
I cannot play anymore tonight so will try again tomorrow. If I have to restart again I may try a similar strategy and not bother taking the western island. My god this is one mother****** !!
Goodbye.
