What's next?
After > 900 hours of playtime, I am still addicted to this game... ^^ But I finished all campaigns / DLCs at least twice and got all achievements, so I don't think that I want to play everything a third time (at least not now).

Therefore, I am wondering:

- Are the Community Content campaigns worth playing, or is the quality much worse than that of the official base/DLC campaigns? If they are worth it - do you have any suggestions for especially well crafted campaigns to start with?

- I also thought about playing something else for a while. Can anybody recommend other great games that are similar to OoB (i.e. turn based strategy)? I already regularly play Panzer Corps and Warhammer 40k: Battlesector (both are awesome). Also looked at Field of Glory, but didn't really like the gameplay. Do you have any other good suggestions?

- Are there by the way any official plans for OoB 2?

The 3rd infantry division mod is awesome. Battle of Britain is also good. Have not tried the others. There are many of them at Slitherine as well.

Panzer Corps 2 comes to mind for other game like OOB. If you play PzC and OOB you will have no issues picking it up. There are several things done differently in it however and not everyone likes it.

Have heard no news about a OOB 2. The system works well I hope they continue with DLC for it, as it is my favorite TBS game.

I like the Winter War trilogy in Community Mods. You learn a lot of Finnish history and end up being able to speak some Finnish. It has many more scenarios than the OOB vanilla

Thanks for the recommendations guys! That sounds great and I will surely have a look at those mods.

And mea culpa, I actually meant Panzer Corps 2 in my original post. I also tried PC1, but after playing PC2 for so long, I simply couldn't force myself to play the first part because it just felt clunky and outdated in comparison.

There is a rework of the PzC Grand Campaign for PzC 2 It is a work in progress and highly regarded.

There are a lot of scenarios and campaigns in this forum on the Slitherine website:

You can't beat the price, so they're worth a look. The numerous comments on the scenarios and campaigns in the forum are generally approving. Criticism is usually constructive (and sometimes implemented by the designer). The work of Erik Nygaard seems to be particularly appreciated. I have played some of his scenarios for The Operational Art Of War and found them to be quite good. I have begun Erik's Operation Olympic campaign in OOB and like it so far.

If you already played Panzer Corps 1 Mod content (a lot of is of much higher quality than the official content itself), then i would sugest trying out the older games that lead up to this series.

I am talking about Panzer General series, some of them are really much harder than Panzer Corps or OoB, its really fun!
